4th of July past...

- 2005 - - 2004 -
- 2003 -
As we ready ourselves for another trip to Camp of the Woods I thought it would be nice to reflect a bit on the last few years before we left. We only have digital images that go back as far as 2003 but they are wonderful. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Have a great Independence Day and make sure to thank a soldier (serving or retired) for their service in keeping this country safe and free. We live in one of the greatest places on earth. It is appropriate that we should sincerely and humbly celebrate the USA and the blessings we enjoy every day. Thank you to all those of you who have stood in the gap to preserve our freedom and our safety.

Geese just want to have fun!

Last week Janice was playing with Joelle when without warning Nathaniel came running and jumping and screaming and bursting with excitement. "Mommy! Come quick! Mommy come QUICK! Come SEE!" He had something to show Janice that just could not wait.

Some of our more fuzzy and feathery neighbors wanted to see our new swing set. Such an occasion required some Southern hospitality. Janice found a bag of saltines and soon the boys were scattering them among the goslings. Being very generous with his guests, Ben soon ran out of crackers. Not to be rude, he quickly ran inside, searched through the pantry and ran back out wildly waving a canister over the ducks. Once the scene came in to focus, Janice realized the ducks were being showered with colorful candy sprinkles. As far as Ben was concerned, a "must have" for any celebration. It was a fun morning!

Also concerning the swing set... Nathaniel left me a voice mail at work a week or so before it arrived. I have just recently figured out how to capture the sound for posterity. Click here to listen to his message.

Joelle who?

I know that Joelle has been a little over shadowed recently so I thought I would put up some images of our pretty little girl in two dresses. They were gifts to us from Carter's in exchange for pictures. They liked the pictures so much they gave one to the President of Carter's and one to the Vice President of Carter's Baby division. Janice took these beautiful pictures. Joelle turned 7 months on June 2nd. She is quite a little angel.

Swimming days of Summer

Tanta Sarah came down from Chattanooga over the Memorial Day weekend. Janice, Sarah and the boys went to the swimming pool. Daddy stayed home with a sleeping Joelle. We do not have any pool toys yet but there were lots of very generous children at the pool. Squirting toys seemed to be the most popular as was splashing.
